How to send MMS to #fakap MMSweb

In order to send MMS to this website you need to :

  1. Find your MMSC : MMS Center/MMS Server/MMS Service Center phone settings
  2. Change it to : http://mms.fakap.net/send , the original should look like http://172.16.174.100:10021/mmsc/
  3. Create or send MMS to any phone number, it will be displayed at this website regardless

Hint: Most phone can have more than one MMSC profile, you can create one profile for sending to MMSWeb and one for normal MMS sending

Caveat : Some phone operators may have blocked all MMS servers except their own, and the application will not work with these

Nokia Symbian Phone Example

This tutorial works with most of the Nokia Symbian S60 phone (except: Nokia 3650/3660)
Step 1: Goto Messages

fakap nokia 1
press Option->Settings->Multimedia Message

Step 2: Create Access Point
fakap nokia 2

  1. goto Access Point In Use
  2. press Option->New Access Point->Use Existing Settings
  3. a new MMSC profile will be created for you

Step 3: Change the MSMC server settings
fakap nokia 3

  1. goto Homepage section
  2. change it to http://mms.fakap.net/send
  3. a new MMSC profile will be created for you
  4. you're done!, next time just use this Connection setting to send your MMS
